This year's U.N. Climate Conference, COP27, marked a major step forward in the
global fight against climate change.

After extensive negotiations, wealthy countries that grew rich through
decades of carbon-intensive growth have, for the first time, committed to
compensate developing nations as they advance climate adaptation and clean
energy strategies.

That agreement was historic. And it wasn't the only advance made at COP27,
which saw "two important victories," according to a new opinion piece from Mike.
