Dear Friend,
We are in a moment of crisis in this country and beyond, one which we, as people of faith and moral conscience, must reflect on and address. We face a real and stark choice between the politics of Jesus and anti-Christ politics that are rooted not in Christ's message of love, but in violence, fear, and hatred of the other.
This crisis, and this deep desire across America to reclaim Jesus, is why I wrote this book, perhaps the most important book I've written and a manifesto for our movement's work to come. Join in this work and seize the opportunity in this crisis by giving a year-end gift today.

The word "crisis" in Chinese is comprised of two symbols: One translates to "danger," and the other translates to "opportunity." This is our moment - our time to turn
this moral crisis into an opportunity for transformation.
If we don't act now and speak out against the injustices inflicted upon the most vulnerable among us, when will we do it? What will we say to our grandchildren when they ask what we did?

Here at Sojourners, we have been responding to crises of conscience, morality, and spiritual rootedness, and calling people of faith back to the politics of Jesus, for nearly 50 years. Here is just a sample of the work you will support, with your year-end gift today:
* We are changing the narrative through the launch of SojoAction, a visionary mobilizing platform dedicated to equipping faith leaders, activists, and their communities with the resources they need to build sustainable and intersectional justice movements.
* We are demanding, through our Lawyers & Collars Voter Engagement and Protection Program, that all citizens have a right to a free and fair vote. A multiracial, faith-inspired effort designed to protect and expand access to voting by
pairing clergy and legal professionals at the polls, Lawyers & Collars launched in 2018 and is expanding for the 2020 elections.
* We are supporting faith leaders on the ground, particularly Latinx and African American pastors, as they tackle critical justice issues present in their ministry contexts - xenophobia, anti-immigration policies, and racialized policing
- through our Thriving in Ministry program.
* We are educating seminaries and faith leaders on how to address and combat domestic and sexual violence in their congregations and communities, through resources like our "100 Sermons" series and "Broken Silence" studies.
Now is the time. And the truth is that you have the capacity to help our nation find its soul and turn the radical, political, narrative-shifting teachings of Jesus into a national conversation.
With your gift of any size, you can proclaim with us that it is unacceptable for our faith to be seen more for being a perpetrator of injustice and exclusion than for the radical love, inclusion, and service for others that Jesus so clearly modeled and calls us to.
Please consider giving a special year-end gift today, and together we can continue the work of transforming this crisis into an opportunity for renewal, restoration, and radical love. Give today: [link removed]
