The future of the New Mexico Supreme Court is in your hands. With two seats up for grabs in 2020, Republicans have a chance to gain control of the High Court with a 3-2 majority. This would be an historic achievement and pave the way for tremendous conservative-based rulings!
Private attorney and former Bernalillo County Prosecutor Kerry Morris could help make that happen. He's running in 2020 for the New Mexico Supreme Court, Position 2. Below please find Morris's biography and his appeal for your support.

Republicans have a tremendous opportunity in 2020. If we elect two Republican Justices to the New Mexico Supreme Court, we will have a Republican majority on the New Mexico Supreme Court for the first time in 1oo years. Imagine what that means! Think of all the issues that may come before a Republican majority New Mexico Supreme Court in 2021 and after.
I’m the only Republican candidate running in 2020 for the New Mexico Supreme Court, Position 2, and we are actively recruiting an attorney to run for Position 1. But, I need your help. To have my name placed on the ballot on November 3, 2020, I need to obtain a minimum of 3000 registered Republican signatures on my nominating petitions. Enclosed with this letter is a blank copy of my nominating petition which I am asking you to print out and sign. On the way to the Supreme Court …

I have been a prosecutor for the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office (2^nd Judicial District). I prosecuted a wide variety of criminal cases including: narcotics, drunk drivers, fraud, and murder.

Over nearly four decades practice, I’ve represented thousands of individuals, small businesses, insurance companies, the State of New Mexico General Services Department, and other parties in connection with a wide variety of legal matters including:

Accident Cases, Insurance Defense, Probate/Wills/Estate Planning, Real Estate, Conservatorships, Business Law, Construction Law, Consumer Law, Contracts, Corporate Law, Legal Malpractice, Libel, Slander and Defamation, Personal Injury, Religious Institutions, Mediation, Workers Compensation, and many more.

Why am I’m running for the New Mexico Supreme Court?
I am running because I believe that our courts are overburdened with lawsuits. Our courts have been asked to do more than was ever intended by the Constitution and the Founding Fathers. At the same time, our constitutional rights are under siege by creative trial lawyers and others who seek to circumvent these fundamental rights. My commitment is to faithfully interpret the Constitution and the laws enacted by the legislature and signed into law by the President, the Governor, and other chief executives that are duly elected by the people.
