Thanks to you and other supporters and advocates, we at the National Trust are
celebrating a year of wide-ranging victories, from hands-on restoration work to
crucial legal wins to creative visions for old places.

Take, for example, Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, New York
[[link removed]] . One of the finest Gothic Revival mansions in America, Lyndhurst’s equally
monumental grounds were showing the effects of time and nature. Using original
plans, photographs, and archival records, the National Trust restored and
recreated much of Lyndhurst’s landscape so that visitors can literally step back
in time.
