Frankly, I have yet to engage in a direct action campaign that was “well timed” in the view of those who have not suffered unduly from the disease of segregation. For years now I have heard the word “Wait!” It rings in the ear of every Negro with piercing familiarity. This “Wait” has almost always meant “Never.” We must come to see, with one of our distinguished jurists, that “justice too long delayed is justice denied.” Community Action continues Dr. King's work in many ways, including our agency's workplace diversity and inclusion training. This night will serve as an excellent reminder of all we are able to accomplish as we work together to build a better community. Our work to create pathways to economic self-reliance for those we serve is only possible through the connections and partnerships we share with businesses, individuals, and others throughout our area. We hope to see you there! Please note masks are required in Community Action facilities.
