Commemorating the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

An excerpt from his Letter From Birmingham Jail:

“We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed. Frankly, I have yet to engage in a direct action campaign that was “well timed” in the view of those who have not suffered unduly from the disease of segregation.


For years now I have heard the word “Wait!” It rings in the ear of every Negro with piercing familiarity. This “Wait” has almost always meant “Never.” We must come to see, with one of our distinguished jurists, that “justice too long delayed is justice denied.”

Nationwide Blood Shortage

The month of January is a time of local and national blood shortages. We're pleased to partner with Rock River Valley Blood Center to host a blood drive on Friday, January 28 at Community Action's Pathways Center, 20 Eclipse Center, Beloit.


COVID protocols will be in place, and blood donations will be taking place in their mobile unit--not inside our building.


Walk-ins are welcome, appointments are encouraged.

02.02.2022 -- Together

We're partnering with the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce to host a Business After Hours networking event on February 2.


This night will serve as an excellent reminder of all we are able to accomplish as we work together to build a better community. Our work to create pathways to economic self-reliance for those we serve is only possible through the connections and partnerships we share with businesses, individuals, and others throughout our area. We hope to see you there!
