Lead with Lillian [[link removed]], our annual fundraising reception and celebration of progressive women, is just around the corner. And it couldn't come at a more critical time for women's rights and reproductive justice.

As you have surely heard, Texas recently implemented a near total ban [[link removed]] on abortion. What's more, the Texas law allows private citizens to sue anyone who performs an abortion or helps a person seeking one (i.e., doctors, clinic staff, abortion funders, even Uber and Lyft drivers.)

Now more than ever, we need to elect progressive, pro-choice women to state office. We must ensure that what happened in Texas never happens here.
