When Susan Collins cast the deciding vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to
the Supreme Court, she gave her word that abortion rights would be safe.

It's "absurd," she claimed, to think that "he's going to repeal Roe v.
Wade."^1

Her word meant nothing.

Just a year later, the Supreme Court announced it will take up a case that
could gut the protections of Roe v. Wade — giving Kavanaugh the
opportunity to decimate abortion access across the United States.^2

We can't let that happen.

Her approval ratings since Kavanaugh's confirmation are now even lower

2020.^4

When the Supreme Court hears the first abortion rights case since
Kavanaugh was confirmed, it'll be on a Louisiana law that is identical to

case in 2016. The only difference this time is the addition of Kavanaugh
to the bench, meaning the majority of the court is poised to overturn the
decision from just three years ago.^5
