John,
When Susan Collins cast the deciding vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, she gave her word that abortion rights would be safe.
It's "absurd," she claimed, to think that "he's going to repeal Roe v. Wade."1
Her word meant nothing.
Just a year later, the Supreme Court announced it will take up a case that could gut the protections of Roe v. Wade — giving Kavanaugh the opportunity to decimate abortion access across the United States.2
We can't let that happen.
Will you donate $15 to NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC to defeat Susan Collins and defend abortion rights?
Maine voters know that Collins is actively voting against their interests. Her approval ratings since Kavanaugh's confirmation are now even lower than Donald Trump's.3
But her loyalty to the anti-choice Republican party line is being rewarded by big donors with deep pockets — so we need to dig deep to defeat her in 2020.4
We're making a special investment in Maine to elect pro-choice champion Sara Gideon to this crucial Senate seat: hiring regional organizing managers, building out a staff of grassroots organizers, and recruiting volunteers to knock on doors, make calls, and get out the vote.
None of this work is possible without the support of members like you, John — make an urgent gift to NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC now.
When the Supreme Court hears the first abortion rights case since Kavanaugh was confirmed, it'll be on a Louisiana law that is identical to the law that the Supreme Court struck down in the Whole Woman's Health case in 2016. The only difference this time is the addition of Kavanaugh to the bench, meaning the majority of the court is poised to overturn the decision from just three years ago.5
We have Susan Collins to blame for that.
Will you chip in $15 to NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC to help fund our grassroots organizer team and defeat Susan Collins?
Thank you for taking action,
Ilyse Hogue President, NARAL Pro-Choice America
