The police were ordered to focus on the small group of Democratic anti-Trump demonstrators instead of the militant insurrectionists.

It is abundantly clear that what was initially reported as a protest that went out of control was actually much more sinister: The Jan. 6 insurrection was carefully planned by Proud Boys leaders, and they may have had help.

Law enforcement officials have revealed that a Proud Boys leader was in contact with Donald Trump's team just days before the insurrection.

But the GOP doesn't want the truth exposed. Lindsey Graham made the GOP plan clear: Anyone in the GOP who criticizes Trump will "wind up getting erased."
