Welcome to a special edition of FT Now! Today is ELECTION DAY 2020. Did
you ever think it was going to get here? While tens of millions of
Americans have already voted early, many more will head to the polls
today to cast their ballots for President of the United States, on down
to city council. One trend we're keeping a close eye on (and you
should too!): Liberal activists and their plans to take to the streets
of Washington, D.C. should things not go their way. According to
a leaked organizing call, one of the group's leaders, Patrick Young,
talked about harassing members of Congress at airports and taking over
government buildings. "We are going to be in a crisis," said Young, "but
we want it to be one that we are creating."
In other words, buckle up, America! The nation's capital could be in
for a wild ride in the coming days.
But enough about that. Aside from the numerous Senate and Congressional
races - not to mention the presidential - 11 governorships are on the
ballot today:
We'll be watching these races closely. Stay tuned for updates!
