More Women Than Ever Are Running For Office. But Are They Winning Their
Primaries?

"The data suggests that groups like Elise Stefanik's EPAC and Winning For
Women are off to a promising start in their attempt to bring gender diversity
to the GOP. Their next big test becomes how many of these women will win in
November."

Data collected from FiveThirtyEight highly suggests that support from outside
groups is making a difference. To determine this, they collected information
about candidates in every Senate, House and governor primary and tracked key
endorsements. The graph below reflects the notion"that the win rate for women
endorsed by these groups is higher than it is for women overall."

Number of Republican Women Could Increase in House but Not Senate.

At this moment, the number of Republican women in office and the number of
Republican women who are going to be up in the general [election] doesn’t
reflect that.”

Supporting candidates in crucial races and increasing the number of
conservative women in Congress through safe open seats is a present challenge
that Republican women are facing. "Groups such as Winning For Women, VIEW PAC
and Stefanik’s E-PAC are working to address primary challenges that remain."

W4W Action Fund Launches New Ads

This week, W4W Action Fund, the political arm of W4W, launched its first TV
ads for November’s elections. The ads support State Senator Stephanie Bice
(OK-5), who’s taking on Democratic Rep. Kendra Horn, and attack Iowa Democratic
Rep. Abby Finkenauer, who’s facing off against GOP State Rep. Ashley Hinson.
