John,
THANK YOU for making your voice heard in this year’s elections.
Our When We All Vote squad showed up and voted in thousands of local elections across the country. And we broke records — more than two million people voted in New York City, marking the biggest turnout in a mayoral election since 1969, and more than 1.4 million people in Virginia voted early, shattering records by more than 20% compared to the last non-presidential statewide election in 2021.
You voted for the people who make decisions about our daily lives — governors, mayors, city councilors, school board members, judges, and more. These are the leaders who shape our communities, from the cost of groceries and the roads we drive on to the schools our kids attend and the futures we build together.
John, these elections are proof of what’s possible when we show up together. With the 2026 midterm elections approaching, we need your support more than ever. Will you chip in $26 today to help us continue empowering voters like you to make their voices heard? [[link removed]]

Before we go, let’s highlight a few of the historic wins that broke barriers in representation and leadership.
✅ Abigail Spanberger is the first woman to be elected governor of Virginia, and Ghazala Hashmi is the first Muslim woman to win a statewide race in the United States. This marks the first time Virginia will have both a woman governor and lieutenant governor at the same time.
✅ Zohran Mamdani was elected the first Muslim mayor and first South Asian mayor of New York City.
✅ With the election of Abigail Spanberger in Virginia and Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey, there are now a record number of female governors: 14!
✅ Women broke barriers in mayoral elections. Sharon Owens and Dorcey Applyrs were elected the first Black mayors of Syracuse and Albany. Mary Sheffield made history as the first woman to be elected mayor in Detroit. Kaohly Her made history as the first woman mayor and first Hmong mayor in St. Paul, Christal Watson became the the first Black woman to be mayor of Wyandotte County in Kansas, and Kristi Cox was elected the first woman to be mayor of Richmond Hill in Georgia.
✅ Maine voted to protect voting rights and strengthen gun violence prevention.
✅ California voters approved Proposition 50, which puts a new congressional map into effect through 2030.
