. As of today, SNAP benefits - the nation's largest
anti-hunger program - are on pause. Nearly 42 million people,
including 16 million kids, are losing SNAP benefits due to the
government shutdown. Without fast action by our elected officials,
millions of families won't have the grocery benefits they rely
on to feed their kids.

support direct cash assistance to families and community food

We, and so many others, are doing all we can to help families who were

empty fridges. We know it won't be enough. SNAP is our

banks and non-profits simply can't replace it.
As our CEO Anne Filipic said on BBC News, "The ground is
crumbling beneath our feet. And what's at risk is the basic food
and nutrition needs for tens of millions of Americans."
We can't fill the gap for 16 million kids, but we can ease the
