The original six episodes of Sold a Story prompted strong reactions — and many listeners wanted a way to talk about what they’d heard. So we created a series of

discussion guides .

Each guide includes questions to prompt conversations among teachers, students, parents and community members, plus links to articles that build on the themes of Sold a Story. Think of it like a book club, but for a podcast.
Teachers have told us they have used these guides during in-service days. Others have organized study groups and happy hours. The aim is to provide a framework for reflection and conversation.
Now that Episodes 11–14 are out,

we've expanded the guide .
It's for anyone who wants to make sense of what they've heard and connect it to their own work — teachers, parents, librarians, policymakers. And kids too. We've put questions for students in the guide.
