It's conversation for teachers, parents and community members.

Want to discuss the podcast?

The original six episodes of Sold a Story prompted strong reactions — and many listeners wanted a way to talk about what they’d heard. So we created a series of discussion guides.

Each guide includes questions to prompt conversations among teachers, students, parents and community members, plus links to articles that build on the themes of Sold a Story. Think of it like a book club, but for a podcast.

Teachers have told us they have used these guides during in-service days. Others have organized study groups and happy hours. The aim is to provide a framework for reflection and conversation.

Now that Episodes 11–14 are out, we've expanded the guide.

It's for anyone who wants to make sense of what they've heard and connect it to their own work — teachers, parents, librarians, policymakers. And kids too. We've put questions for students in the guide.

I'd love to know how you're using it. Email me at [email protected] or leave a voice message at (612) 888-7323.
