Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day, we honor the lives of those impacted by suicide and recommit to building a world where every LGBTQ+ young person feels safe, supported, and never alone.

The need is urgent: 39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year — including nearly half of transgender and nonbinary young people. More than 1 in 10 attempted suicide. Behind every number is a young person who deserves compassion, understanding, and care.

One of the most powerful steps supportive adults and allies can take is to talk about suicide safely. That’s why we’re sharing a powerful episode of TrevorTalks: How to Talk About Suicide Safely — offering guidance and practical tips for starting difficult but lifesaving conversations.
