Yesterday, my team and I sent out my end-of-August newsletter where we notified you of an upcoming Virginia Racing Commission meeting on Monday, September 8th, at 1pm, in New Kent County. On the agenda is consideration of Churchill Downs and Rosie’s application to open a Rosie’s Gaming Emporium, a facility with slot-machine-type historical horse racing (HHR) machines, at Staples Mill Shopping Center later this fall [[link removed]] .
This Virginia Racing Commission meeting has now been rescheduled to Monday, September 15th at 1pm at the SCC Building in Richmond which is located at 1300 E Main St, Richmond, VA 23219.
We still would very much like your presence there to make your voices heard about how this establishment will impact you and our community. Please let me know if you have any questions and please tell your neighbors.
