The EPA Must Protect Against Climate Pollution

A couple weeks ago the EPA announced their intention
to reverse the endangerment finding, a landmark legal finding
that requires that agency to protect us from climate-busting
pollution.

Today is the first day of public hearings where people like you
are speaking out against the EPA’s attempt to let industrial
polluters spew pollution into our air. But make no mistake:
Polluting companies and their allies will also be in these
hearings, chasing even bigger pay checks at our expense.

But you don’t have to give public testimony to speak out — you
can help by submitting a public comment TODAY urging the EPA to
uphold their agency’s legal mandate to protect us from climate

In a one-two punch to our climate, the Trump administration’s EPA
announced their intentions to reverse:

👊 A long-standing finding that carbon dioxide, methane, and other
climate-changing pollutants are dangerous to our health and
welfare. Called the “endangerment finding,” it’s the legal basis
for Clean Air Act standards that cut pollution from some of the
dirtiest industries.

👊 Standards that curb pollution from vehicles, the largest source
of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States and one of the
biggest contributors to climate change.

Starting today, concerned citizens are lining up to speak against
these harmful proposed changes at public hearings hosted by the
EPA. Meanwhile, we need to flood the EPA with public comments to

Here’s what this attack really means: the Trump administration is
proposing to abandon its responsibility to protect people across
the United States from floods, fires, and hurricane damage by
allowing polluters to dirty our air and further fuel the climate
crisis.

through.

never are. That’s why we need activists like you to weigh in on
