Dear John,
Here's whatās happening in your party and why it matters.
šBy-Election in Alberta: The Elites vs. the People
The Battle RiverāCrowfoot by-election is underwayāand itās become a clear line in the sand between Laurentian elites and grassroots Albertans who are sick of being dictated to from Ottawa.
Pierre Poilievre parachuted himself into this riding, hoping nobody would notice. But people do noticeāand they donāt like it. Across rural Alberta, talk of separation is growing, and so is the sense that no one in power is listening. Albertans are fed up with being ruled by globalist elites who donāt share their values or priorities.
Thatās why Jonathan Bridges is running. Not as a professional politicianābut as a working father of five, with a job, a mortgage, and a backbone.
š³ļø Maxime Bernier has already joined Jonathan on the ground onceāand heāll be back again on August 11 & 12 to attend campaign events and meet the people of Battle RiverāCrowfoot in person.
š£ Join us if youāre nearby! Bring a friend, shake Maxās hand, and show Ottawa weāre not backing down.
š¤ Jonathan Bridges Speaks Up ā Debate Recap
Jonathan recently took the stage at the Western Standard all-candidates debate, part of a by-election that has seen over 200 registered candidates! (No, thatās not a typo.)
Even in a rushed, crowded setup, Jonathan represented our movement with heart and clarity. He made it unmistakable that heās not a career politician, but an everyday Canadian stepping up to give voters a genuine choice.

š« Pierreās Power Grab: The Truth About the Longest Ballot
The Longest Ballot movement started as a protestāan attempt to highlight how disconnected and dysfunctional our political system has become. And to be honest, theyāre not wrong to feel frustrated. Millions of Canadians donāt trust their politicians, and they donāt feel represented by the parties in power.
Weāre sympathetic to that frustration. We agree that the system is broken and stacked against everyday people. But letās be clear:
š„ We do not support the Longest Ballot movement itself.
Turning elections into a circus with hundreds of fake candidates only creates confusion and undermines legitimate alternatives like the PPC. Whatās truly telling is how Pierre Poilievre reacted.
When the movement targeted a Liberal stronghold in the TorontoāSt. Paulās by-election, he said nothing. In fact, his party benefited from it.
But now that the Longest Ballot protest is disrupting his own coronation in Battle RiverāCrowfoot, heās suddenly outraged. And worseāheās using it as an excuse to attack smaller parties and independents.
His proposed āreformsā would:
š¹ Raise nomination thresholds to as many as 750 signatures
š¹ Ban voters from supporting more than one candidate
š¹ Restrict official agents to managing only one campaign
These changes wouldnāt stop fake candidates. Theyād stop real onesālike us.
This isnāt leadership. Itās opportunism. Itās Pierre protecting the duopoly that has failed this country for decades.
Weāve responded with a formal letter to the Minister opposing these cynical proposals and defending the democratic rights of all Canadians.
