Think you don't like snakes? Learning more about this slithery species might help you appreciate their role in the natural world. Schramm Education Center [ [link removed] ] is hosting the perennially popular Snakes of Nebraska event Aug. 9 and 10. You'll be able to view most of Nebraska's 29 snake species, ask questions and even participate in some live snake encounter activities.

Summer is in full swing, but hunting season is just around the corner. For any aspiring hunters, now is a great time to take a Hunter Education class. Online, in-person and hybrid classes are available and teach a range of safe hunting skills. Both firearm and bowhunter classes are offered.
