House Republicans just shut down Congress early to avoid a tough vote calling on the Trump administration to release the Epstein files.
Instead of doing their jobs and getting the American people the answers they want, Republicans ran for the exits and canceled yesterday's votes, all to avoid facing the music on a bipartisan call to release the Epstein files.
Let me be very clear: While House Republicans play political games and cover for Trump, Michigan families are left without leadership in Congress. This is what Republican “leadership” looks like: chaos, gridlock, and a total refusal to face the tough questions and get the American people the answers they deserve.
And to make matters worse, they’re letting critical issues — from Medicaid and SNAP cuts to the cost of living crisis — fall by the wayside.
Enough is enough. Michigan Democrats are stepping up to protect Michigan families, strengthen our democracy, and bring real transparency to Congress. But with the stakes higher than ever, we need your help to keep building this movement and fire the Republicans who are failing Michiganders.
