Dear John,

My name is Emma Milne. I'm a vet (you may remember me from BBC1’s 'Vets in Practice') and I have supported Freedom for Animals for many years.

I have helped to provide expert opinion on their investigation findings ([link removed]) , including their undercover footage of birds of prey being tethered in zoos, and I backed their calls for a ban on this cruel practice.

As a vet I strongly believe that animals do not belong in captivity, especially when being used for human entertainment.

Having been involved with many charities over the years, I know how difficult fundraising can be and just how important regular donations are, no matter how small. They let charities plan campaigns in a much more coordinated way.

It is for this reason I ask you to please consider becoming a Freedom Champion, by pledging a monthly donation to assist Freedom for Animals in helping so many more animals. ([link removed])

From now until 6th July, the charity is appealing for 20 new Freedom Champions to join them in their work. So far, five people who care about animals like you do have signed up, making a monthly donation to fund public investigations which will expose cruel practices, and pressure campaigns to bring about lasting change for animals in need.

Please consider joining them today. ([link removed])

Best wishes,

Dr Emma Milne BVSc MRCVS
