Oakland County to Host Two In-Person Tourism Workshops to Shape Visitor Economy and Branding

Pontiac, Mich.– Oakland County’s Department of Economic Development is inviting residents, business owners, nonprofits and community partners to take part in two in-person workshops that will help shape the future of the county’s tourism economy and destination brand.

These workshops are the next step in the county’s effort to develop a comprehensive Tourism & Attraction Strategic Plan, building on extensive public engagement, including a countywide visitor survey launched in March, and focus groups. Participants will be asked to contribute ideas and feedback on how to build a more inclusive, vibrant and sustainable visitor economy that benefits all communities in Oakland County.

Workshop Details:

* Monday, June 16, 6–8 p.m., Sundquist Pavilion in Riley Park, 33113 Grand River Ave., Farmington. Click here to register [ [link removed] ].
* Tuesday, June 17, 9–11 a.m., Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Rd., Rochester Hills. Click here to register [ [link removed] ].
