John, remember when I said our democracy was on the line? This is what I meant:
Newsweek: Amendment to Give Trump a Third Term Has 'A Lot of Support': GOP Rep
A Republican member of Congress is now claiming that Donald Trump has enough support to run for a third term — and says he's working on a constitutional amendment to make it happen.
No one who respects the Constitution, our democracy, or the peaceful transfer of power should be entertaining this.
The presidency is not a throne, but the MAGA movement has made it clear they’ll tear up the Constitution if that’s what it takes to keep Donald Trump in power. Knowing Trump, he wouldn't hesitate to put a crown on his head.
This is how democracies die.
The fact that this is even being discussed tells us everything we need to know about what’s at stake. We must stop this MAGA movement in its tracks. That starts by kicking these dangerous extremists out of office and taking back the Senate in 2026.
If you believe in the Constitution and in democracy itself, then please, chip in now to help me build a winning strategy to flip the Senate blue. We need to show we’re not going to roll over while they try to rewrite the rules and rig the system for one man >>
