Oklahoma: The legislature passed a bill to allow the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) board of directors to be removed “at the pleasure” of their appointing authority and limit them to no more than a seven-year term. It is believed this legislation was filed because Republican leadership was unhappy that TSET hadn’t funded a cardiac hospital and was retaliating against the trust.
