This weekly digest is a method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. We send this announcement every week on Tuesdays.

* *Effective date:* July 1, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS is working to answer lead agency questions and update resources to provide guidance about the MnCHOICES initial assessment validity extension and eligibility update policy change.

 

CFSS implementation updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive PCA, Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

* *Audience:* AC and ECS program assessors and case managers
* *Effective date:* July 1, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS updated the AC and ECS eligibility worksheets because of annual updates to the federal income and eligibility standards. The updates are effective July 1, 2025.

* *Audience:* Lead agencies, people who receive disability waiver services, families of people who receive disability waiver services, disability and behavioral health advocates, providers and other interested parties
* *Effective date:* July 1, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS created resources about RSSC implementation effective July 1, 2025.





Training and event information

Reminder: Webinar announcement: PCA and CFSS Cost Reporting Demonstration and Q&A [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Cost report preparers for PCA and CFSS agency model providers
* *Event dates:* June 11, July 9 and Aug. 6, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS’ CFSS Cost Reporting Team will host three webinars that will include a demonstration and Q&A session about cost reporting for PCA and CFSS agency model providers. Participants only need to attend one of the three webinars.

 

Webinar series about serving children with complex needs in foster care [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Counties, tribal nations, contracted case managers, supervisors, workers and leaders who serve children in foster care with complex needs who require residential placement
* *Event dates:* June 24, July 24, Aug. 14, Sept. 16 and Oct. 23, 2025
* *Summary:* The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is hosting a webinar series about how to navigate residential placements for children with complex needs in foster care.
