The Big And The Beautiful š
After pulling an all-nighter fueled by one too many PB&Js, the House passed
the āOne Big Beautiful Bill Act.ā
Iāll admit, it wasnāt always a sure thing. I wasnāt exactly a shoo-in
<[link removed]>
as Speaker Johnson carefully tallied up the possible yays and nays.
While the bill slows
<[link removed]>
our rate of racking up debt, Iād prefer we slam the brakes entirely, but I
also know youāve gotta take the wins where you can. At the end of the day, this
bill is going to dosome serious good
<[link removed]> for folks like youāand
thatās why I voted for it.
Weāre making historic investments in border security
<[link removed]>
, cutting red tape tounleash American energy
<[link removed]>
, renewing Trumpās tax cuts, and a whole lot more. No tax on tips, tax breaks
for seniors on Social Security, and incentives if you buy an American-made car
are in there too.
Without these tax cuts, a family of four in Tennessee making $67,000 would see
their taxes go up by $1,300 next year. Lifeās expensive enough these daysāIāll
always fight for you to keep more of your hard-earned money.
Oh, and this bill isnāt the bogeyman coming for Medicaid, no matter how much
Democrats lie. In fact, weāreprotecting the program
<[link removed]>
by cutting the rotten waste, fraud, and abuse that was on track to destroy the
whole thing.
Weāre removing folks who have died and closing loopholes that allow illegal
aliens to get benefits, so Americans who actually rely on Medicaid will get
what they need.
Now itās time for the Senate
<[link removed]> to
take a crack at it, and my hope is that our fellow Republicans over there will
stay focused and fight for this legislation.
No bill will ever be perfect, but if we take things one step at a time, we can
fulfill the mandate of the American people. Weāre helping President Trump in
his fight to take back our dadgum countryāand Iāll sleep good tonight knowing
that.

Take Me Out To The Vols Game ā¾
<[link removed]>
Can you smell the peanuts and Cracker Jack?
The Vols took a 7-5 win
<[link removed]>
over top-seeded Texas this week in the SECTournament quarterfinalsāand what a
game it was.
Tennessee struggled after being given the start, but the game eventually went
into extra innings and ended ina W. Next up: the boys take on Vanderbilt
<[link removed]>
in the semifinals this weekend!
But speaking of baseballādonāt forget, Iāll be lacing up my cleats for the
Congressional Baseball Game
<[link removed]>
next month. I may be biased, but I have a feeling Democrats donāt stand a
chance against this yearās Republican roster.
