BJS has released two reports that present findings on homicide victimization based on data from the FBI’s Supplementary Homicide Reports (SHR) and from BJS’s and the FBI’s National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Estimation Program.
The BJS bulletin, "Homicide Victimization in the United States, 2023 [ [link removed] ]", describes the number and rate of homicide victimizations reported by law enforcement agencies in the United States, including victim demographic characteristics, victim-offender relationships, the type of weapon(s) present, and the number of victims involved in the incident.
The BJS Just the Stats report, "Firearm-Involved Homicide of Children Age 11 or Younger, 2014–2023 [ [link removed] ]", presents data on child homicides and compares it with data on child homicides involving firearms.
