Early this morning, the House passed Trump’s budget bill by a single vote.
I introduced an amendment to protect healthcare coverage for children. Republicans rejected it.
Over 38 million children, or 42 percent of all American kids, receive coverage through Medicaid and CHIP. We can’t move forward with policies that strip health coverage from children.
But that’s exactly what Republicans did.
I’ve travelled to red districts all across the country, talking to thousands of voters about the Republicans' attack on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. I won’t stay quiet as Republicans target families, slashing $500 billion from Medicaid and jeopardizing healthcare for millions of kids.
