John,
Unless we stop them, gun extremists in the North Carolina General Assembly are about to put NC kids in danger. Two bills, HB 193 [1] and SB 280 [2], create pathways for some teachers, school personnel, and volunteers to carry handguns on private school property.
These bills are moving FAST, and many North Carolinians are not aware of what’s at stake, or what they can do. We need your help Monday 5/12 and Tuesday 5/13 [[link removed]] alerting voters to the dangers of these bills so that they can take action. [[link removed]]

Why is this the moment when calls matter?
HB 193 has passed the House, and is now in the Senate. A similar bill, SB 280, passed the Senate on Wednesday and is headed to the House. We still have time to stop these bills, if we act now. Sign up to alert other North Carolinians before it’s too late. [[link removed]]
At NCGV Action, we will ALWAYS fight for NC kids and safe schools. Join us. Fight back with phone banks. [[link removed]]
Yours in this fight,
Sara
P.S. No time to phone bank? No problem. Donate to NCGV Action's Spring Campaign [[link removed]] to fund this work.
