Fellow Democrat,
Each year, the Massachusetts Democratic Party gathers to celebrate the bold leadership and enduring spirit of our Democratic champions. We're thrilled to invite you to one of our most cherished traditions — the 2025 Roosevelt Awards Dinner .
This year, we proudly present Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Awards to:
* Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll
* Singer, Songwriter, and Activist James Taylor
Named for two of our nation’s most inspiring leaders, the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Award is our Party’s highest honor. Their legacy of courage, compassion, and commitment to progress continues to guide us today.
Past Roosevelt Award recipients include Democratic giants like Senator Ted Kennedy, Secretary John Kerry, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Governor Deval Patrick, and Governor Maura Healey — a true testament to the impact this recognition represents.
We are also proud to present:
* Gladys Rodriguez-Parker with the Christopher Condon Activist Award, celebrating a lifetime of grassroots leadership and advocacy for justice.
* Chrissy Lynch , President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, with the first-ever Senator Ted Kennedy ‘Lion of Labor’ Award , honoring a fierce defender of workers' rights and organized labor.
The Roosevelt Awards Dinner is more than a celebration — it’s a gathering of the Democratic family from every corner of the Commonwealth. Together, we honor our shared values, lift up leaders who inspire, and renew our commitment to building a better, fairer future for all.
