I just walked out of a critical roundtable with Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, focused on a crisis that’s been ignored for far too long: the dumping of millions of gallons of toxic sewage from Mexico into Southern California’s waters.



Let me be clear — this meeting wasn’t about more studies, throwing money at the problem, or political grandstanding. It was about one thing: action.

I told Administrator Zeldin what many of you already know: this is not just an environmental disaster. It’s a national security threat. When our Navy SEALs — the best of the best — are getting sick and forced to relocate their training because of raw sewage in our oceans, something is deeply broken.

Here’s the good news: your voices are being heard. Because of our collective pressure, this issue has gone from being a “local problem” to one the President of the United States is now addressing. That’s major progress — and we’re not stopping there.



I was assured today that real, tangible solutions are on the way. But let me be equally clear — I’m not letting up until we see results. Holding Mexico accountable is no longer optional, it’s urgent. Our beaches, our health, and our military demand it.
