Right now, we’re seeing laws proposed that will put up barriers to abortion access, and lawmakers nationwide are trying to make it harder for people to make their own healthcare decisions.

In West Virginia, House Bill 2129 is a reminder of how vulnerable reproductive freedom is. While it makes some changes around parental rights and healthcare, it doesn't go far enough to protect people who need access to abortion care — and passing it could have devastating consequences, especially for minors and those facing the most challenging situations.
