New American Leaders is proud to be a movement primarily powered and sustained by women! Over 57% of our alumni are women. After participating in NAL programs, 70 women have been successfully appointed to government positions and 131 women successfully ran for elected office in over 20 states.

Behind all these successes are even more inspiring stories of how these women got there. Some of them even lost their races, but with determination and a strong community, they rose to the challenge and returned victorious. Their perseverance reflects our unwavering commitment to create a democracy that works for all of us.

We are still accepting applications for our Rising to Run training [[link removed]] , a program designed for New American women who have previously run for office, lost, and are considering running again.
