In New York, eligible voters can register to vote until October 26, but don’t wait. By getting registered now <[link removed]>, you’ll be all set to vote in the November 5 general election!

I believe we should expand access to the ballot box and ensure all New York voters can make their voices heard — and that’s not just talk. As a result of our actions: 

- New Yorkers have more time to register to vote (make sure to register by October 26!)
- New Yorkers can register to vote and cast their ballots on the same day at their early voting site on October 26
- New Yorkers can vote early by mail
- 17-year-olds who will turn 18 by Election Day and are pre-registered to vote can request an absentee or early mail vote ballot 

When I look out on the New York City harbor and see Lady Liberty, with her torch enlightening the world with freedom, I often think about the world we are leaving behind to the next generation. I hope that when our grandchildren and great-grandchildren look back at us, they see that we took the torch of freedom and democracy, and made it glow even brighter.
