Biden faced a surprisingly tough line of questioning on MSNBC, given that a=
friendlier response might be expected from the reliably liberal TV network=
. Biden's responses were mostly direct; but to us, they don't seem thorough=
enough to put this story to rest in the 2020 campaign. Instead, his person=
al response will likely fuel another round of media coverage.

As we said on Wednesday, we won't speculate on the truth of the allegation,=
and we will emphasize that it is an allegation. Biden has denied it, and t=
he allegation to the contrary is not a proven fact. But we will continue to=
share relevant updates as the story unfolds.

release of his Senate records held at the University of Delaware ... or eve=
n allow for a single search of those records for his accuser's name. Biden'=
s accuser has alleged that she submitted a written report that should be pa=

As we shared with you earlier this week, the University of Delaware -- whic=
h is the university of Joe Biden's home state -- has had his Senate records=
since 2011. The original plan was for them to be released by December 31, =
2019 or when Biden retired from public office.=20

But last spring, that deadline was changed to be no sooner than December 31=
and no later than two years after Biden "retires from public life." Which,=
if he wins the presidential election, could be many years in the future.

The longer this story persists, the more questions -- and curiosity! -- wil=

A woman has alleged that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993 -- and now Joe Biden has responded directly for the first time.

He denied the claim, both in a written statement published online (you can read it here, with thanks to the Daily Wire for the link <[link removed]> ) and in a TV interview on MSNBC this morning.

Biden faced a surprisingly tough line of questioning on MSNBC, given that a friendlier response might be expected from the reliably liberal TV network. Biden's responses were mostly direct; but to us, they don't seem thorough enough to put this story to rest in the 2020 campaign. Instead, his personal response will likely fuel another round of media coverage.

As we said on Wednesday, we won't speculate on the truth of the allegation, and we will emphasize that it is an allegation. Biden has denied it, and the allegation to the contrary is not a proven fact. But we will continue to share relevant updates as the story unfolds.

In his MSNBC interview this morning, Joe Biden said he won't authorize the release of his Senate records held at the University of Delaware ... or even allow for a single search of those records for his accuser's name. Biden's accuser has alleged that she submitted a written report that should be part of those records.

As we shared with you earlier this week, the University of Delaware -- which is the university of Joe Biden's home state -- has had his Senate records since 2011. The original plan was for them to be released by December 31, 2019 or when Biden retired from public office.

But last spring, that deadline was changed to be no sooner than December 31 and no later than two years after Biden "retires from public life." Which, if he wins the presidential election, could be many years in the future.

The longer this story persists, the more questions -- and curiosity! -- will likely increase.
