We'll be honest, when we wrote to you last week we thought it was ridiculous that Trump was attacking Gerry for defending the U.S. Postal Service.

It seemed like yet another petty moment from a president who's had all too many -- and a good reminder for us of why we're proud to have a serious progressive like Gerry fighting for us in Congress! We couldn't imagine that Gerry's bipartisan efforts to save the postal service wouldn't gain the President's support.

But, we were wrong: In the midst of the coronavirus crisis Trump is still refusing to give aid to the USPS, which desperately needs relief. Trump has even gone so far as to threaten to veto any legislation that includes grants or funding to support USPS.
