Like any aspiring autocrat, Donald Trump can't succeed alone. He depends on enablers and collaborators.

In the aftermath of January 6, a senior Republican congressman-- who knew the danger Trump posed but was afraid to speak out --told me:

"Surviving is all that matters, Liz."

It was a sad moment. Elected officials who believe their own political survival is more important than anything else threaten our republic, no matter what they tell themselves to defend their cowardice.

The fact is, in 2020, I won my primary with 73 percent of the vote. In 2022, I could have easily won again, but that would have meant spreading Donald Trump's election lies and abandoning my oath to the Constitution - something I would never do.

Today, I'm asking you to join me in holding Donald Trump and his enablers accountable for their assault on our Democracy. Defeating them and protecting our Republic in 2024 is the cause of our time, and I'd be grateful if you could join my effort by making a contribution of $25 or more today.
