I wanted to tell you the raw, unfiltered truth about Sam Brown.
My husband inspired me to return to my faith.
Friend, this is Amy Brown. My husband is CPT Sam Brown, and he’s the
frontrunner for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Nevada.
But I need you to hear directly from me why I believe he’s a
once-in-a-generation type of leader.
I first met Sam in the burn unit. He’d just returned from Afghanistan where he
and his soldiers were ambushed by the Taliban.

A roadside bomb exploded under his vehicle and left him permanently disfigured.
I’ll be brutally honest with you. The weekend before I met Sam were some of
the worst days of my life.
<[link removed]>
I had grown up in the Church but had lost my Faith in God and I wasn’t living
in a way that I was proud of – I was at my rock bottom.
And then I met Sam.
<[link removed]>
I was Sam's dietitian during his recovery – a rehabilitation process that was
set to take years.
And as I got to know him, I became more and more impressed by him.
Many people who are severely injured in the line of duty spiral into
depression. And that’s totally understandable.
It’s only natural to feel hopeless when you’ve been injured like that.
But what set Sam apart was that, even when things were at their darkest, his
Faith in God was stronger than ever.
<[link removed]>
Every day for months, he fought with every fiber of his being to recover so he
could return to serve with his men in Afghanistan.
And even when it became clear that he would never be permitted to return to
the line of duty on account of his injuries, he didn’t skip a beat.
At this moment Sam had to relearn everything. He had prepared for his entire
life to spend his career fighting for his country in the military. But his life
plans were dashed in just 60 seconds.
But with a heart full of Faith in God, he accepted the hand that he’d been
dealt and re-focused his vision on serving others in a new way.

Before we were married, and before we were even dating, Sam and I became
friends.
I shared with him some of the struggles I had faced, and he was honest with
me. He was concerned for my Salvation – and for that matter so was I.
He challenged me to reconnect with God and start going to church again.
I wondered, “If someone like Sam has faith, why is it so hard for me to have
faith.”
And as he and I grew closer, he helped me rediscover my faith.
Now here we are 14 years later. We have 3 kids and I’m a Bible-believing momma
who puts Bible lessons in our family's homeschool curriculum.
<[link removed]>
I don’t know where I’d be without Sam Brown today, but I’m endlessly grateful
that God put him in my life.
Friend, I’m not telling you this only in hopes that you’ll rush for your
pocketbook.
I’m telling you this because I want you to know what type of man my husband is.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Amy Brown
P.S. If you feel so led, Sam’s campaign could use your financial support. Sam
and I aren’t wealthy.Like many of you, our family relies on a fixed income.
<[link removed]>
That means we don’t have tons of money to spend on campaign operations.
Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

SAM BROWN
<[link removed]>
<[link removed]>
Sam Brown is a Purple Heart recipient, a small businessman, and a committed
husband and father.
After graduating from West Point, he was commissioned as an Infantry Officer.
In 2008, Sam was deployed to Afghanistan.
Only four months into his deployment, Sam was on a mission when he received
word that another nearby platoon had been ambushed. Upon entering the
engagement area, a roadside bomb detonated under the fuel tank of his vehicle,
leaving him drenched in diesel and covered in flames.
Following the injuries he sustained, Sam was medically retired from the
military. During his recovery, Sam realized that God had given him a new life —
a life meant to be dedicated to a different kind of service.
Now, Sam is running to represent Nevada in the United States Senate, and he
needs your support.
