Every day for months, he fought with every fiber of his being to recover so he could return to serve with his men in Afghanistan.
And even when it became clear that he would never be permitted to return to the line of duty on account of his injuries, he didn’t skip a beat.
At this moment Sam had to relearn everything. He had prepared for his entire life to spend his career fighting for his country in the military. But his life plans were dashed in just 60 seconds.
Sam Brown is a Purple Heart recipient, a small businessman, and a committed husband and father.
After graduating from West Point, he was commissioned as an Infantry Officer. In 2008, Sam was deployed to Afghanistan.
Only four months into his deployment, Sam was on a mission when he received word that another nearby platoon had been ambushed. Upon entering the engagement area, a roadside bomb detonated under the fuel tank of his vehicle, leaving him drenched in diesel and covered in flames.
Following the injuries he sustained, Sam was medically retired from the military. During his recovery, Sam realized that God had given him a new life — a life meant to be dedicated to a different kind of service.
Now, Sam is running to represent Nevada in the United States Senate, and he needs your support.
