*LCB Board Action: Trade Area Rules*

On Feb. 28, 2024, during its regularly scheduled meeting, the Liquor and Cannabis Board took the following actions:

*Final Rules Adopted ? Effective March 30, 2024:*

The Board adopted final rules (CR 103) amending WAC 314-02-1071 [ [link removed] ] on the term ?trade area? as used in RCW 66.24.630 [ [link removed] ]. The rule now includes language exempting spirits retailers owned by Tribes and Tribal enterprises, located in Indian Country from requirements prohibiting operating within 20 miles of an existing spirits retailer. ?
