As you're reading this email, Voto Latino is actively registering voters online, John. Our work doesn't stop!
I wanted to reach out to give you an update on Voto Latino’s efforts to register and mobilize Latinx voters ahead of today’s primaries in Arizona, Florida, and Illinois. But first, let’s talk real quick about the ways we’re continuing to make a difference in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Voto Latino has always been a digital-first organization , working to meet young people where they’re at by registering voters online via computers and smartphones, running robust and engaging social media channels, as well as creating an email program that not only shares important election updates and information, but opportunities for people to take action, attend events, and hold their elected officials accountable.
Digital organizing is powerful, my friends! Just look at what we were able to achieve last weekend when we took an originally in-person GOTV event and turned it into a virtual text bank:

Our staff here at VL have gone completely remote as a means of protecting our health and others’, but we’re still doing some major GOTV efforts to answer voters’ questions about polling places, give them free Lyft rides to the polls, and share important updates in light of COVID-19 as we try to get voters to the primaries. Take a look at the numbers we’re putting up:
