Hi there,
There's nothing like waking up to good news! Yesterday we learned that all five of GGWash's endorsed candidates [[link removed]] in Rockville were elected, Shanika Whitehurst [[link removed]] ran a competitive race in Gaithersburg, and Virginia voters gave Democrats control of the house, which could mean more support for long-term WMATA funding.
Thank you so much to everyone who voted! Each and every one of you plays a key part in making our region even greater and we are so grateful.
If you want to join us in person before the end of the year, we're hosting our first ever planners of color meet-up tonight (November 9th) and our final Ward 1.5 Meet-up of 2023 will be on Sunday, November 19 at Grand Duchess. Keep reading for more info and other ways to get involved.
