There's nothing like waking up to good news! Yesterday we learned that all five of GGWash's endorsed candidates in Rockville were elected, Shanika Whitehurst ran a competitive race in Gaithersburg, and Virginia voters gave Democrats control of the house, which could mean more support for long-term WMATA funding!
Thank you so much to everyone who voted! Each and every one of you plays a key part in making our region even greater and we are so grateful.

This November, GGWash is making space for planners, advocates, and other community leaders of color to connect and meet other folks who are engaged with centering equity in housing, transportation, and land-use policy. This space is offered to any planning or planning-adjacent professional who identifies as a person of color. Make sure to sign up to stay in the loop.
