Welcome to another edition of FT Now! We hope your week is going better
than New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy's! (More on that later). In Missouri,
state auditor and Democrat gov candidate Nicole Galloway is in some hot
water for allegedly trying to use taxpayer funds to dig up dirt on a
Republican senator. President Trump signed a historic new trade deal,
though you may have missed it in all the anti-Trump impeachment
coverage. Last but not least, Gov. Murphy may have been less than
truthful about allegations of sexual misconduct on his 2017 campaign.

Politics On The Taxpayer Dime
What Happened:
Missouri State Auditor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Nicole
Galloway is being investigated for allegedly using her taxpayer-funded
office to target a Republican senator.
Why You Should Care:

What Happens Next:

New Report Exposes NJ Gov. Phil Murphy's Campaign Harassment Scandal
What Happened:
A bombshell report in New Jersey appears to put Democrat Gov. Phil
Murphy in a corner when it comes to his past statements about
allegations of sexual misconduct on his 2017 campaign.
Why You Should Care:
It appears that one of the four women making the allegations against the
Murphy campaign has "black and white" evidence that directly contradicts
the governor's claim that no one on his campaign sought to silence
women from speaking out. As Tom Moran at the Star-Ledger wrote, "Murphy
has said, over and over, that women who worked on his campaign are free
to talk... But Roginsky revealed an email showing that is simply not
true."
What Happens Next:
: For now, it seems that Gov. Murphy is continuing to double down on his
previous false statements...
