For 50 years, the Helms Amendment has stood in the way of comprehensive reproductive care for people around the world by preventing U.S. foreign assistance from being used to provide abortion care or even counsel people on care options. It's just one of many ways policies have limited reproductive freedom, especially for Black and brown people.
