Friend,

I’ll keep this short.

Today is the last day to submit a public comment against President Biden’s proposed asylum ban.

Last month, the Biden Administration announced a new proposed rule that would deny asylum to many migrants along the border.

If implemented, the policy would deny asylum to migrants encountered along the U.S. - Mexico border who transited through another country without seeking asylum there first or who entered between ports of entry, with some exceptions, including use of a highly problematic government smartphone app.

This is a similar policy that former President Trump and his Senior Advisor Stephen Miller tried to implement to completely get rid of our asylum but multiple courts blocked these efforts because they were illegal.

We cannot allow the Biden Administration to go through with this.

Seeking asylum is a legal and human right.

We cannot turn our backs on children and families fleeing violence and persecution.

Thank you for taking action,
Juana
