John,

There is much work to be done in a post-Roe world.

Nowhere is that more evident than in abortion "sanctuary states" like California, which former Planned Parenthood manager Ramona Trevino recently visited to rally the pro-life faithful.

During her time in the Golden State, Ramona found communities much more pro-life than California's reputation would suggest--and even abortion workers took interest in her message!

"The faithful showed up to our rally in Vista in spite of the rain, proving that pro-lifers are not fair-weather folks," Ramona said. "Some workers came out of Planned Parenthood to listen."

Perhaps the seeds planted will lead those workers down the same path Ramona walked--right out of their jobs in the abortion industry.

An abortion staffer in El Cajon also wanted to hear Ramona's message.

"A Planned Parenthood worker walked over to McDonald's for lunch and stopped to listen to my talk," Ramona reported. "There were no words exchanged--only kind smiles from everyone.

The El Cajon team later celebrated its first confirmed saved baby of the campaign, as a couple leaving the abortion facility flashed a big smile and a thumbs-up.

"Whatever you guys are doing, it's working," the man said. "She's keeping it!"

Hemet, California

The Hemet campaign saved a baby on the sidewalk just hours before Ramona arrived at the vigil.

"[The mother's] abusive boyfriend wanted her to get an abortion," reported John, the local leader. "She broke up with him and is now on the verge of homelessness."

The woman arrived at the abortion facility with no idea how to take care of a baby. She left with an appointment at the local pregnancy help center the very next day, information on a maternity home, and a promise to vigil participants that she would keep her baby.

Just a few days earlier, John showed an abortion-bound couple crisis pregnancy resources as well as pictures of unborn babies.

The mom was moved. "I guess I should cancel my abortion appointment," she told him.

Temecula, California

The vigil site in Temecula is distant from the abortion facility, which makes direct interaction with abortion clients difficult. But Ramona said the location is PERFECT for public witness.

"The whole time we were out there, we heard countless honks of support from those who drive by," Ramona noted. "A truck driver even made sure we heard him as he laid on his horn, waved, and gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to the crowd."

And it was a BIG crowd. Ramona said attendees continued to show up throughout the event--and she couldn't fit the whole crew in a camera shot!

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.

--Psalm 8:3-9

Lord, you are the creator of all things. Guide my thoughts to consider your creation in all of its majesty, beauty, and holiness. Guide my heart especially to your creation of precious human life.
