Friend,
Last week, as we marked the 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Donald Trump made it clear that he sides with extremists in Texas who are still trying to turn back the clock on a woman's health, future, and bodily autonomy -- and set a dangerous precedent for other states.
The Trump administration approved a Medicaid program for Texas that allows the state to bar patients from accessing care at Planned Parenthood. This will incentivize anti-choice legislators around the country to restrict reproductive healthcare access -- because they know the federal government will reward them with funds.
I'm running to reverse the healthcare crisis facing our state and country as a result of ideological attacks on women's access to reproductive healthcare. If you believe in advancing policies that do not devalue the lives of women, I need your support.

Attacks on women’s reproductive health have led to Texas’ alarmingly high maternal mortality rate, which disproportionately affects African American and Latinx women due to the inequities in our healthcare system. And what has Roger Williams done in response?
He's voted repeatedly to throw thousands of his constituents off healthcare, and earlier this month he signed on to a letter encouraging the Supreme Court to revisit and overturn Roe v. Wade.
With the Trump administration's actions last week opening the door to a wave of further anti-choice policies, we need to hold accountable the politicians -- like Williams -- who have long supported draconian, backward-looking policies that limit access and deny women their agency.
I personally don’t believe that politicians can call themselves "pro-life" and then turn around and support policies that gut public education, take healthcare from the most vulnerable in our society, and break up families.
And I know that Texans are fed up with the hypocrisy.
So I need your help. Williams' anti-choice allies will spend heavily to keep this seat, even as we're on the upswing. Make a donation so we can fight for real reproductive justice in Congress >>
Thank you,
Julie
